For the rest of the world it is a small car, but here in India the BMW 3 Series – the 320i, 325i and 320d -is considered a medium to large sized luxury car. All BMW are currently of Euro 3 exhaust emission standard.
Some features are standard in BMW and this is the USP of the brand, for the competition offers some of these only as an optional- meaning you have to pay extra for the selected features. This is what BMW will fetch: alarm system, automatic air conditioning, automatic transmission, car telephone preparation (subject to availability of service provider), 6-CD changer and central locking with electronic, immobiliser and crash sensor. HiFi loudspeaker system and BMW Professional Radio are of superlative quality, specially made for the brand.
The fuel tank filler flap is integrated in the central locking system. The plush interior has Dakota leather upholstery and. Exterior parts come in body colour, and floor mats in velour. Fog lights are not popular in India, but the day you decide to drive to a hill station or head to north Indian in winter you will be glad that BMW has fitted them on your car.
Depending on the model, there is a glass roof. Other gizmos are: electric green stripe windscreen, and headlight washer system, interior mirror with automatic, anti-dazzle, interior/Exterior mirrors with automatic anti-dazzle, Leather steering wheel, Metallic paintwork multifunction steering wheel, on-board computer, including check control, on-board monitor with TV function, park distance control, front and rear, park distance control, rear. A rain sensor ensures you do not have to take your hands of the steering when the rain starts. There is a rear centre armrest with, two upholders, seat adjustment, electric with memory function for driver’s seat. A sports leather steering wheel improves the grip and enhances the sports-car-like handling and ride. A start/stop button has been provided, as also sunblind for the rear side windows, and mechanical sunblind for the rear windshield. The electric Xenon light is best experienced and not explained.
